Tim Staffell's aMIGO is a unique blues and funk band, drawing influences from folk, latin and rock and featuring some of the most original, exciting songwriting to be heard on British shores.
Tim was the singer and bassist in Smile, the band that became Queen. Tipped for prominence in his own right, he instead pursued a career as a commercials director, modelmaker and designer, but he never put down his pen nor hung up his guitar, and finally returned to the scene in 2001 with a vengeance and a new band, aMIGO.
The self-titled aMIGO album compiles the material Tim wrote during his thirty-year absence from the commercial scene. Musical luminaries such as Brian May, Snowy White, Morgan Fisher, and many others guested on the album. A second album of all new material is on its way.
Tim and the band are now gigging around South-West London: visit our News page for more information.
